We are a family that likes to eat well and here in Spain good food is in abundance. Compared to the UK, eating out can be really cheap and there is an amazing choice of restaurants. For the first two weeks we were here I think we probably tried most of them! At least once!
Now that we’ve been here a few months we don’t venture out for big meals nearly as much but we do still regularly enjoy tapas (and perhaps a cheeky cerveza) at lunchtime. In fact, it can often work out cheaper than eating in!
Speaking of food shopping, since arriving on Spanish soil I have started to really enjoy cooking again and the choice of fresh produce that’s so readily available makes even a trip to the local supermarket an unexpected pleasure. My big regret is that I didn’t think to bring a single one of my many cookbooks in the car with us and they are currently languishing in a storage container somewhere just outside of Glasgow! I know, I know – there’s always the internet but, call me old fashioned, it just isn’t the same.
Anyhoo, I thought it would be fun to share some of our culinary delights on this page, whether it’s great places we’ve found to eat or stuff we’ve cooked that’s worth a mention.
